I'm

Bontalakoti Venkata Harshavardhan

Aiming for "A Future Beyond Our Star"
I am presently a graduate student pursuing robotics engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

I specialize in the design, development, and implementation of robotic systems.

My work focuses on enabling robots to understand their environment through computer vision, multi-sensor integration, and SLAM systems. From building a vision-based quadruped robot with real-time pose estimation to developing human-guided SLAM that maps 25% faster, I'm passionate about perception systems that work in the real world.

I believe in multi-disciplinary approach to robotics where I try to understand both hardware and software aspects of these wonderful machines.

My main areas of interest are:

  • Perception and Computer Vision
  • Planning and Navigation
  • Reinforcement Learning
  • Deep Learning and AI
